- Because when that basic fear disappears, life makes full sense.

Mario Rodríguez Cobos — better known by his nickname, Silo —, multifaceted, intellectual, social leader, spiritual guide, is an unusual figure in history. A character who is part of that other underground story and little visible to common human history.

Silo cared little about the posturing, his NO to the established system of violence was total and unequivocal.

Indeed there is "another story", one that seeks the meaning of what exists from a new understanding.

With the passage of time, the "doctrine" that Silo taught was called New Humanism or Universalist Humanism and with this it reached the social dimension.

Today it is still valid in multiple forms, fronts, parties, etc., with the Study and Reflection Parks being its most notable manifestation.

But, essentially the "doctrine" is internal; It is at this level where it acquires its full meaning.

Our organization should not be external, it should basically be internal. In such a way that just as there is a kind of personality and external circles of personality, there should also be an internal center of gravity, a kind of essence from the organizational point of view. [1]

It would be very difficult to specify if it is a current in decline or, on the contrary, it is a current capable of regenerating and growing to sustain the great necessary human change, which was always its mission.

Therefore, it does not make sense to answer this question, since every hypothesis will find arguments to validate itself. The essential thing will be whether the doctrine is valid internally for its followers.

There is no doubt that Silo's orientation is expressed daily by the voice of ordinary people, intellectuals and heads of state. It is more than obvious, but who is interested in copyright, recognition?

Then people are no longer necessary, someone who must be referred to, someone who directs. Nobody directs anything, for the simple reason that the process itself leads to internalizing the concept of organization. And then each one, complying with that "internal triangle" can generate without referring to certain individuals or certain groups. And from that point of view such an organization would be inextinguishable, because wherever a single internal triangle existed it would have to be put an end to. But every day more internal triangles would have to be eliminated. And this would be a continuous slaughter. Plus we would have to kill them all over the planet. [2]

Where to look for the doctrine of Silo then?

Look for it in other beings, whether they are close or far away, on a bright day, in a drawing, in a poem...

Look for it in the feeling of transcendence that allows us to represent the non-living as part of humanity and the living as part of the same.

Ascending from understanding to understanding, perhaps we will be able to grasp that everything goes beyond objective reality.

There are indicators so as not to get lost in the search. If your path is too straight, rest assured that you are already lost, because this is an adventure for the brave of spirit, far from the conservation that leads you to confinement. But we will always be in time to regain momentum, integrating every experience as part of the path and learning. The more contradiction accumulated, the more costly the change of course will be.

It is not easy to translate into brief words such a complex process that has already accumulated 55 years since its first public manifestation.

There is an internal world that moves things. There are worlds that exist even if you don't see them.

There are internal states from which things are inspired.

And if not, where does poetry, painting, and great actions come from, if not from those states?

They were not people to whom nothing happened inside.

They were people who did things with great force and from there brought about great changes or produced things with such force that they changed the course of things and an era.

Historical changes occur when human consciousness connects with the depths and it is from there that the changes and evolutionary steps take place. The other things they tell us about "history" are anecdotes.

What moves the story is that internal engine. It is from the depths, which can be inspiring.

There is something that moves things, that is not seen. People describe things, but they don't pay attention to what moves them.

You describe the car, the wheels, the steering wheel, etc., but you don't look at the engine. It is that engine that moves the car. [3]
